OVERVIEW
This website is operated by Meet Cute Design. Throughout these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Meet Cute Design, and "you" refers to the person accessing or using this site. By visiting meetcute.ca or purchasing our products or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
SECTION 1 — ELIGIBILITY
By using this site, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence. Our services and products are intended for personal and professional use in connection with your own author platform or creative business.
SECTION 2 — OUR SERVICES AND PRODUCTS
Meet Cute Design offers two categories of offerings:
Web Design Services — custom and semi-custom website design and build services, delivered according to a separate client agreement or proposal. The terms of any client project are governed by that agreement in addition to these Terms.
Digital Templates — Squarespace website templates and related digital products available for purchase through this site. Templates are delivered digitally and are licensed, not sold outright (see Section 5).
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or update our offerings at any time without notice.
SECTION 3 — PRICING AND PAYMENT
All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice, though any change will not affect a purchase already completed.
For services, payment terms are outlined in your individual client agreement. For templates, payment is due at the time of purchase.
SECTION 4 — DIGITAL PRODUCT REFUND POLICY
Because templates are digital products delivered instantly upon purchase, all template sales are final. We do not offer refunds once a template has been delivered or accessed.
If you experience a technical issue with your template, please contact us at nadine@meetcute.ca and we will do our best to resolve it.
For web design services, refund and cancellation terms are outlined in your individual client agreement.
SECTION 5 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND TEMPLATE LICENSING
When you purchase a Meet Cute Design template, you receive a single-site, non-exclusive license to use that template for one website on your own behalf. This license does not include the right to:
Resell, redistribute, or share the template with others
Use the template on more than one website without purchasing an additional license
Claim the template design as your own original work
Sub-license the template to clients or third parties
All design assets, code, and creative elements within our templates remain the intellectual property of Meet Cute Design.
For custom web design services, ownership of final deliverables transfers to the client upon receipt of full payment, as outlined in the client agreement. We retain the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed in writing.
SECTION 6 — THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS
Our templates are built for use on Squarespace. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Squarespace, and your use of the Squarespace platform is subject to Squarespace's own terms and conditions. We are not responsible for any changes Squarespace makes to their platform that may affect template functionality.
This site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites and do not endorse them.
SECTION 7 — DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
Our website, services, and products are provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding uninterrupted access, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free operation. Use of our site and products is at your own risk.
SECTION 8 — LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Meet Cute Design shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our site, services, or products — including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity.
Our total liability in connection with any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
SECTION 9 — INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meet Cute Design, its owners, contractors, and service providers from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of our site, products, or services, or your violation of these Terms.
SECTION 10 — PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your use of this site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
SECTION 11 — PROHIBITED USES
You agree not to use this site or its contents for any unlawful purpose, to infringe on intellectual property rights, to transmit malicious code, or to engage in any conduct that could harm Meet Cute Design or its users.
SECTION 12 — CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
SECTION 13 — GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
